The Craft Group

About the Craft Group

The Craft Group meets at the Mechanics Institute Hall on the 3rd Monday of each month. members bring their own lunch, but tea and coffee is supplied.

image A membership fee of $15 per year is required to be a member of WMIAA and to receive the monthly newsletter. Each meeting a gold coin donation is required towards costs and the end-or-year break-up. Members share ideas and work on their own craft projects. Occasionally members will have a group project to do for charity or a special occasion.

Some of the crafts worked on by members are:

  • knitting
  • spinning
  • patchwork
  • crocheting
  • needlework
  • embroidery
  • card making
  • fashion bag making
